Ness Botanic Gardens

Ness Botanic Gardens is a wonderful place to visit and offers something for everyone.

It is a place to sit and admire the stunning views across the Dee estuary and offers a sanctuary away from the chaos of everyday life. Not only are the gardens beautiful, they also house one of the most interesting plant collections in the country. Owned and managed by the University of Liverpool, science and research are major components of all the work done here in the gardens. As a botanic garden, plant conservation is also vitally important to Ness, and we have a large number of important and rare plants in the gardens. Ness is also a great place to learn about the natural world around us and runs courses, school visits, workshops and guided tours, conferences, coach parties, and exhibitions.

Above all, Ness offers a great range of activities and events for everyone including live music and theatre. It is a great place for all the family and lots of fun for children with special events for Easter and summer holidays.
